It has been a crazy few weeks and I will try to catch up in the next couple of days...
We were asked to play at the Annual Korean Veteran Reunion a few weeks ago and it was a real highlight! The Korean Veteran Reunion is held in a different city in Nebraska every year and this year it happened to be at the Ramada Inn in Kearney.
After we had set up and were ready the color guard performed a flag ceremony and then they ate dinner.

We had to wait until dinner was over before we could perform so here are a couple pictures that we took while we waited.

After they were done with dinner, we played a patriotic program and tried to express our gratitude to each of those veterans that were willing to leave their homes, sacrifice their time, and even be willing to give their lives fighting for our country. Some veterans especially the Korean Veterans feel forgotten and we just wanted to show them how much each of us appreciated what they have done.
"WHAT'S THIS?!?!?"
Here's what happened...
We are Honda drivers through and through. We own or I guess did own three Hondas; a Odyssey, an Accord, and a Civic. They have proved to be very reliable cars and we have traveled many, many miles in these cars. However, we had finally reached a crisis. We all felt that God wanted us to take another step forward in the path He has set us on, but we also knew that we could not pack one more thing into our all ready overflowing cars. It was quite the dilemma. I think we thought of ever possibility and impossibility from just stopping everything to buying an airplane (that one was from Graham). But thanks to the inspiration and assurance of the Holy Spirit we all came to the same conclusion. We needed a VAN!
Subsequently, when Dad and Mom were in Omaha the last Saturday in August, they decided to just check out the car dealership in that area. They drove into the parking lot and lo and behold a beautiful RED van was just sitting there. It was about 6:00 p.m. and the dealership had been closed for about an hour and so Dad and Mom decided to just walk around a bit. Not ten minutes later a salesman who had stayed for a late meeting was showing Dad and Mom around and inside the different vans. It turned out that the red Mercedes Sprinter was the only van that not only had the right amount of seats but also had extra cargo space. There was no doubt in our minds who was in control of this situation.
By the next Wednesday everything had been arranged and the Big Red Sprinter was sitting in our driveway and we were saying goodbye to our faithful Honda Odyssey.

We all know that this was the next step that the Lord wanted us to take. We just hope and pray that we may be acceptable servants in the eyes of the Lord. Our one desire is to serve Him in anyway that we can and our one prayer is that we may be faithful and true to the end.
"... if ye will enter in by the way, and receive the Holy Ghost, it will shown unto you all things what ye should do."

THE CIRCUS HAS COME TO TOWN!!!
The nursing home in Minden, Nebraska was hosting an ice cream social for all of the residents as well as their families. We readily accepted when they invited us to join them and entertain the folks. Since their theme was "The Circus" we decided to join in with our own versions of circus entertainment and clowns.
It is amazing what a "little" make up can do, isn't it Graham?
He had the most complete make over and he was shocked at the transformation!
This was our very FIRST trip all together in "R" Sprinter.
It was a "smashing" hit (no we did not crash)
Everybody is looking forward to spending lots of time in this vehicle.
The party went very well. The ice cream was delicious and we hope that the audience had a good time.
It has been a week full of change and transition and we are so grateful for the guidance of the Lord's spirit and for the peace He speaks to our souls. We do not know exactly what lies ahead but we know that we can walk in faith and not have to trust unto our own understanding.
