One year older and Wiser too!!!

Near midnight on the 29th of September 1990, a baby boy was born. He was named:

DAVID PRESTON RICHARDS

David is currently serving a two year mission in Brazil. He has been gone for about 15 months. We are grateful that he can be serving the Lord by teaching the people of Brazil about Christ. David has had a special connection with Brazil because about 40 years ago, Dad also spent two years there, learning Portuguese, serving the people, and doing everything that David is now experiencing. It has been a great learning experience for David and he keeps us updated on how he is doing through his weekly emails.

David just turned 21 and is excited that this is his last birthday away from home.

Here are just a few of the many Fun Facts about Davy:

He has a hilarious personality.

Once he gets going, his comments keep us laughing until it hurts.

He is big boned and Isaac says that he is very heavy when he sits on you.

Before David left, Graham, Isaac, and David were inseparable.

David is very flexible. He can do stretches that would take years for the rest of us to do.

He is very descriptive and has a capacious vocabulary.

He is an artist and he can draw anything you ask him to especially cars.

He loves to draw and design his own cars.

Believe it or not David is the perfect gentleman.

He loves to learn etiquette and the ways to be proper and refined.

He is always the first person to open the car door for us girls (Mom, Katie, Marilee, and I).

His favorite scripture is:

"For behold, again I say unto you that if ye will enter in by the way and receive the Holy Ghost, it will show unto you all things what ye should do... Behold, this is the doctrine of Christ."

2 Nephi 32:5-6

We miss him immensely and can't wait until he is home again.
